IT System Administrator
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Development Director, the successful candidate will lead the concept, design, implementation, support, and execution of IT System Administrator for internal and external clients, for integrated, cross-channel initiatives. This person will have responsibility and accountability for establishing IT administrative guidelines, standards, and best practices for CloudMellow and it’s clients. The successful candidate will also possess strong attention to detail, and enjoy reading and writing clean code, as well as having a passion for staying up to date with the latest web technologies and best practices. The successful candidate will regularly collaborate with internal and external clients and leadership teams.
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on experience as an IT System Administrator, with expert level proficiency in DNS, PHP, Apache, and Linux based environments
Job Needs:
- 3+ years experience in system admin on Linux servers
- 2+ years experience in system admin for DNS and domain registrars
- 2+ years experience in SSH network protocols and Linux script language
- Experience in monitoring and tuning Apache & PHP frameworks
- Proficient in working with servers (Dedicated, VPS, Reseller, etc.) leveraging CENTOS/WHM/cPanel stack
- Ability to stand up to client emails on company hosting environment and third parties when applicable
- A focus on constant learning and improving technical and personal skill sets
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and administration of Linux Environments.
- Experience supporting Linux/CENTOS systems
- Experience working with dedicated servers and VPS
- Experience supporting software security and data integrity tools like server-side firewalls, OWASP, etc.
- Experience supporting log management
- Experience with Linux/BASH scripting
- Experience with Email and DNS Server Configuration
- People skills with the ability to interact with non-technical and non-IT peers
Must speak & write English fluidly, must have a personal computer and access to reliable internet. Must have software access for programs needed for the job title. The ability to work in various time zones is a plus.
